grade 5 update

Monday, March 23, 2020

Dear students, parents, & guardians,
First I would like to apologize for being away during all that has happened over the last week. I
am back now and available for questions and concerns that you may have.
As far as I am aware homework packages have been delivered to the Grade 5 students.
Parents and guardians, I would also be pleased to work with you through various digital tools we
have been using in the classroom. Programs that previously required purchased subscriptions
are now being offered free of charge. The benefit to these online programs is that I can provide
each student with feedback and assistance.
Feel free to contact me through email ( alex.langman@mltc.ca ) or home phone (306) 234-2039
and I can then work with you individually on getting your student set up with what you would like
them to work on as there are quite a few options.
Grade 5 students can also contact me directly about their schooling and learning through our
online Google Classroom which has been up and running for several months now. Please
remind your students to keep their posts and comments relevant to the learning assignments.
Posts and comments that are personal or off-topic will be deleted. I will also block any students
who continue to use the online classroom posts and comments inappropriately.
Parents and guardians, if you are interested in the possibility of my being able to continue to
provide assignments to your student through Google Classroom please do not hesitate to
contact me, this is relatively new technology and I would be pleased to provide it to you as we
work through this together.
I thank you all in advance for your patience and love for your children and families during this
time and as your students’ teacher I am committed to helping as much as I am able, please let
me know of additional ways I can be of service.

Sincerely,
Mr. Alex Langman
